topic : The Topic of our own(Is it right for human to use environment for own good?)


The Earth has been our home for a long time. It offers not only the space to live in but also the food and clothes that is essential to our lives. Nowadays, however, the Earth is not what it was in the past. The Earth is constantly damaged and destroyed by us, human beings. Especially, the ecosystem and resources are one of the major victims of human activity.
Above all, the Earth’s ecosystem is being damaged by human activity. The ozone layer is getting thinner because of the overuse of CFC. When we use spray or make refrigerator, a lot of CFC is created and released to the atmosphere. Thus, the ozone layer is destroyed and too much ultraviolet reaches to the Earth. Ultraviolet damages most of the creature and causes skin cancer to human beings. Moreover, the pollution is one of the major problems to the Earth’s damage. The fume and smoke emitted from the factories cause the air pollution. Unfiltered water coming from housings and farms and industrial sewage pollute the water. Thus, the Han River in Seoul, the capital of Korea, is polluted so much that no one can swim there. In this way, human activities are destroying the Earth.
Human activity also harms the Earth as it depletes all the resources of the Earth. Resources are not endless; it is limited. Human beings, however, waste the resources continuously. For example, we are running out of the petroleum. Petroleum is one of the most valuable resources to the human since it is used in the all part of our lives. If it had not been for the petroleum, the development in industry would be impossible. Although we know it, we are wasting it and it causes not only the retardation in the development but also the disturbance in the Earth. Furthermore, making the endangered species is one of the faults done by human. Those can be regarded as invaluable resources to Earth. However, human activities are eliminating many species. Human activity is damaging the Earth in terms of depleting the resources of Earth.
The Earth is harmed by human activity as we are destroying the ecosystem by pollution and depleting all resources. As all of us know, however, the Earth is the only planet given to the human. We should protect and keep the Earth from the close of it. No more human activities should destroy our precious planent, the Earth.
